Scoob!

In Scooby-Doo’s latest adventure, see the never-before told story of how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined forces with young detectives Fred, Velma, and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, toughest mystery ever: an evil plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone ever imagined.

Director: Tony Cervone
Cast: Will Forte, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Isaacs, Zac Efron

Review: Maybe Scoob! will appeal to parents looking for any new way to entertain their children, but it will be a disappointment for the millennials who grew up watching the cartoons and the live-action movies. I’m not exactly sure who this movie is for beyond desperate adults hoping to distract rowdy offspring for 90 minutes. Even if kids are won over, I can’t help but wonder if typical Scooby-Doo cartoons will be a disappointment.

Verdict: Not Worth It
