A satire set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles, where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price when art collides with commerce. Josephina (played by Zawe Ashton) discovers the body of artist Vetril Dease who lived in her building. When looking into his upstairs studio Josephina finds a large number of intriguing paintings. Also found were ashes of other paintings – the artist was trying to destroy his own works – but why?

Director: Dan Gilroy
Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Zawe Ashton, Toni Collette, John Malkovich

Verdict: Worth the Popcorn
